Cineflix announces new appointments for 2003

Montreal – July 7, 2003 - Cineflix CEOs Glen Salzman and Katherine Buck are pleased to announce three key appointments at Cineflix in Canada and abroad.

André Barro is assuming a new position as the President of Cineflix Canada. based in Montreal. In the two years Barro has been with Cineflix as Vice President – Executive Producer, he has made substantial contributions to the growth of the company. His executive producer credits include Mayday: Air Disaster; The Ultimates; Tornado Alley; Get Me to the Wedding; Dogs with Jobs; 90 Days in Hollywood and elove. Before joining Cineflix, Barro worked extensively in factual television with various companies including Pixcom where he created the international division.

Stephen Hunter joins the Cineflix team as VP Development, Science and History – Executive Producer. Hunter comes to Cineflix from Cinenova where he was VP Program Development. Prior to joining Cinenova in 2000, he worked as a producer for various factual programs including CBC’s Venture, Undercurrents, and The Health Show. Stephen Hunter will be based at Cineflix Toronto.

Adrienne Curran will be Managing Director of Cineflix’s new international distribution arm Cineflix International Media Ltd, based in Dublin. Building on the success of Cineflix International Distribution, headquartered in London with Managing Director Paul Heaney at the helm, Cineflix’s Dublin office will provide support for the expanding international distribution operation. Curran comes to Cineflix from Little Bird, one of the UK’s leading independent producers where she was the company’s Finance Director. Prior to 1999 she worked as an accountant on a number of film and television productions and trained as a chartered accountant with KPMG.
