DEALS IN FRANCE
June 16, 2010 Making significant inroads in France with its slate of in house and third-party programming, Cineflix International Distribution has announced several major deals with some of the country’s top broadcasters. Brokered by CID’s Head of Sales, Kate Llewellyn Jones, W9 has purchased all three seasons (36 hours) of the forensic crime investigation series Cold Blood, as well as both seasons of Conviction Kitchen (16×60), the hit series that follows one of the world’s top chefs and a crew of ex-cons with no culinary experience as they attempt to open a high-end restaurant in just three weeks.

June 10, 2010 Cineflix International Distribution has announced 175 hours of sales to US broadcasters, proving its wide range of quality programmes are as popular with American audiences as they are with viewers around the world. Brokered by Lucinda Garner, Cineflix International’s Sales Manager for North America, the number marks a 75% YOY increase in business for the territory, and reflects the diversity of the company’s catalogue that now features over 1,400 hours of factual programming.
250 NEW HOURS
March 17, 2010 Cineflix International Distribution announced today it is launching 250 hours and 20 brand new in-house and third party series at MIPTV 2010, the biggest and most commercial slate in the distributor’s history. The new catalogue boasts highlights across factual entertainment, entertainment, reality, documentary, drama-documentary and specialist factual programming and notably sees a return to the small screen with a new series for iconic film and TV legend, William Shatner.

March 17, 2010 Leading international media company Cineflix announced today it has partnered with television and film icon William Shatner in a new series that seeks to find a logical, scientific explanation for fascinating mysteries and strange phenomena. Produced by Cineflix Productions, in Weird or What? William Shatner will investigate and analyze all that is weird in the world, including everything from paranormal phenomena to weird and wonderful creatures, from medical oddities to mysterious disappearances, and bizarre natural disasters to mystical monster attacks.
SEVEN TITLE DEAL
February 2, 2010 Cineflix International announced today the company has acquired the distribution rights to 64 hours of factual programming from leading independent producer Frantic Films. Comprised of six series and one special, the distribution agreement was negotiated by Diane Rankin, Cineflix International’s Head of Acquisitions.
Rankin says: “The opportunity to acquire this number of original titles from such a great producer is rare. This is the start of new relationship that we’re very excited about and is part of our strategy to build key partnerships as a distributor with top production houses worldwide.”
